Overview:

The workshop will be focused on the introduction of Iranian optical backbone network which consists of about 31000 km of different types of optical fibre, using SDH and DWDM technology with advanced management system, upgradeable to support packet over SDH with next generation SDH features. This advanced network is ready to be connected to many countries such as: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbayjan, Armenia, Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait and United Arab Emirate. This geographic position makes this network the best possible hub for the connection of different countries from east to west.
